Gracious Host, Vicki To The Rescue
Our three-day golf trip was almost a washout due to a nasty storm, but our gracious host Vicki came to the rescue with delicious freshly baked cookies for us as we spent an afternoon watching the storm that canceled our golf round. After an amazing breakfast the next morning, we were able to play golf. Our get-away was made memorable with “The Inn on the Ocean” making it special. Wow! Were We Impressed
We came down for the car show but wanted something a little different than a hotel. Wow were we impressed? I am not a breakfast person, but oh my amazing breakfasts, coffee ready when I got up. The view of the boardwalk from the porch is amazing. Vickie, Charlie are wonderful hosts. Thank you so much look forward to coming back.

Will Never Stay In A Hotel Again
Will never stay in a hotel again. Inn On the Ocean is the only place we will stay in Ocean City now. The atmosphere is like no place else. Once you stay you are family. The rooms are charming and the breakfast is like no other. Do not plan on eating lunch. Sitting on the porch is the most relaxing and enjoyable part of our summer. LOVE LOVE LOVE...
Anniversary Trip
The rooms are comfortable and cozy. The breakfast in the mornings are good and fills you up for a day on the beach. Most relaxing vacation we have ever experienced. Hearing the ocean from your room is a bonus. We have met great people that shared the Inn with us and felt like being around an adult crowd that enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of a bed and breakfast and felt safe knowing doors were not being kept unlocked or loud partying going late into the night. That is probably our greatest compliment of the Inn. The quiet and safety! The only con is not towards the Inn but of the city not banning the loud cars and disruption of those allowed to ride up and down coastal highway harassing those that are on vacation on this particular weekend. Even with this, we will still continue to go as long as they will have us back.
What An Amazing and Relaxing Weekend
I absolutely can not recommend this sweet and homey Inn enough. My husband and I recently stayed here for a weekend and we both agreed-we could never go back to a stuffy hotel! What an amazing and relaxing weekend. We had a lot to celebrate and this was absolutely the perfect place for it! Not to mention the breakfast was amazing and the homemade cookies were outstanding!!

We have visited OC many times before but first time staying on the boardwalk. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home, the Inn on the Ocean is for you. Vickie and Charlie are excellent hosts. The rooms are very warm and welcoming. My wife really enjoyed the gourmet style breakfast in the morning on the porch overlooking the beach and ocean. The only B&B on the boardwalk is located on 10th Street. They also have beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, refrigerator and plenty of ice. Parking is conveniently located in the back. We will definitely be coming back

A Place Like No Other
My wife and I recently stayed at An Inn on the Ocean for the first time in several years - we now live on the west coast - and while much has changed in Ocean City, this bed and breakfast remains at the heart of all a beach vacation has to offer. I have been staying here with family since the mid-1990s when it was called Annabelle’s. Since taking over, Vickie and Charlie have been wonderful hosts and have preserved the inn’s charm by providing a welcoming, fun atmosphere and killer breakfasts with stunning ocean views. This place has been part of so many wonderful memories growing up and thanks to Vickie and Charlie’s hard work, I have been able to make new memories there with my wife. I highly recommend staying here - you won’t be disappointed and if you’re lucky, you’ll make life-long memories here like I did! I can’t wait to come back again!
Felt Like Home
Great location on the Boardwalk and close to restaurants. Nice front porch with wicker rocking chairs used to people watch or just relax. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We also had our own balcony. The breakfasts on the front porch {inclusive} were fantastic. We will most definitely be staying here again.
Excellent Location On The Boardwalk
The hospitality of the hosts, Vicki and Charlie, is exceptional. Parking is convenient behind the Inn. Breakfast is tastfully plated and enjoyed one breakfast out on the porch because of the nice weather. Enjoyed sitting on the porch in rocking chairs to people and ocean watch.

Superb Porch and Deck
Excellent room and very quiet. Parking in alley is good but a little tight. Superb porch and deck right next to the boardwalk. Great location , plenty of shops all around, all within walking distance. A little pricey - but it's august on the oceanfront. Breakfast was excellent!
Vintage Boardwalk B&B
What a vintage boardwalk B&B. A true hidden gem among the many choices of hotels. This cottage like B&B is the perfect pick for couples looking for a romantic weekend get away. From the quaint Victorian style rooms and decor to the wonderful hospitality you will feel right at home upon arrival. Vicki & Charlie go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. From the framed welcome board with your name on it, bowl of Hershey chocolates, freshly baked cookies, bags of popcorn, sweet tea, coffee, ice cream, bowl of mints and gourmet breakfast there is nothing left to want. They also offer bikes, umbrellas, beach towels all free to use as you please.The house is on 10th street and is a perfect location for the boardwalk. It has a wonderful porch with ample seating (rocking chairs) with nice accent lighting at night. If you are looking for a romantic get away look no further then the Inn on the Ocean!
Never Disappoints
Just returned from our 11th annual weekend at this fabulous place. We fell in love with it the first time we stayed there and haven't been disappointed for the last 11 years. The location is outstanding, the breakfasts are "to die for", the rooms are very comfortable and the innkeepers, Charlie and Vicki, are great!! Just sitting on the porch each morning, watching the beach, looking to spot some dolphins and sipping coffee makes you want to return. For anyone who has never been here, you will love it !!!
All Time Favorite Place To Stay
One of my all time favorite places to stay. I feel like I have come home when I stay with Vickie and Charlie. They make you feel like part of the family. I have Celiac and Vickie always makes sure to take care of me. I do hate leaving good reviews for places I love as I am selfish and don't want the word to get out how great this place is. 
But, they have everything you need for a trip to the beach; beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, bikes, refrigerator in the basement. The breakfasts are outstanding and sitting on the porch eating breakfast with a view of the ocean is the best. Then sitting on the porch, relaxing and people watching is one of my favorite activities. If you go away disappointed, well then you just can't be pleased.
Very Nice
The Inn was just what we wanted for a weekend getaway. We arrived and were greeted by Vicki who told us where to park and gave us our parking tag and room key. We had the Veranda room which connected to the front porch of the Inn. It was a charming room and adequate for the two of us. Vicki made a homemade breakfast and her husband Charlie assisted with serving us on the front porch. The Inn was quiet and comfortable. It's a very nice place for a couple's getaway or for a single person who wants a little R&R and sit on the porch and read or watch the tourist stroll the boardwalk.
Best Christmas Present Ever
For Christmas last year my wife and I decided to give ourselves a mini vacation in Ocean City. She picked An Inn on the Ocean because it was the only B & B on the boardwalk. It turned out to be a great choice! Our hosts were amazing people. Very friendly and accommodating. The Inn was beautifully decorated and the best feature was the porch on the boardwalk. We were served a delicious breakfast their each day and had the opportunity to meet the other guests. The beach is out the front door and across the boardwalk. The Inn provides bicycles, beach chairs, beach towels and beach umbrellas for guests. Private parking is provided behind the Inn. The room was nicely furnished and the bed was comfortable. We had a great time there and will be staying again.
Vickie and Charlie are excellent hosts
Vickie and Charles are excellent hosts! They are warm and always helpful. The house and the rooms look exactly as shown on the pictures! The house was Beautiful and clean, the rooms were well equipped - downstairs they have bikes, beach chairs, and umbrellas, with a refrigerator/ freezer with ice. We fully enjoyed the homemade breakfast which was delicious and it was great to meet other couples from around the country. On our last day we went to the beach early and missed breakfast, Miss Vicky brought us breakfast on the beach- We feel that was over and above nice!! We would definitely recommend "Inn on the Ocean" and would stay there again
Last Beach Blast Before Surgery
An Inn on the Ocean was gorgeous! Spent the weekend here as a last trip before my DD's surgery. Vicky and Charlie were so wonderful, made us feel right at home. Breakfast was heavenly, and they have chairs, umbrellas, bikes and books for your use! Book now, they fill up quickly!
One Night Stay
We were very excited to find such a sweet place right along the boardwalk. Although we were a little disappointed in our room - Hunt Room - there were many other qualities that shouldn't be overlooked. Along with the outstanding location, the inn had the best breakfast of our entire trip. You don't want to miss it! They also offered beach chairs, bikes, and ice-cream. This is definitely a place you should consider on your next visit.
Relaxing Valentine’s Weekend
We had a great stay over valentines weekend. Lovely room with an amazing view of the beach. We enjoyed watching the sunrise. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and recommended some lovely restaurants. Breakfast was fantastic.
So Much Better Than A Hotel
Great place to come. Vicky and Charlie are wonderful hosts!! The food was excellent, the rooms are large and beautifully decorated. The personalized robes are a great touch. So much better than staying at a hotel!!
What a special birthday weekend for my wife
We just spent a delightful weekend at the Inn. We were the only guests on a mid Nov. getaway. We felt like family after we left. The owners were so helpful with suggestions. The breakfasts were sinfully scrumptious. We have been to B&B's all over the world and this is right up there with the best.
Amazing B&B right on the water
This bed and breakfast is hands down the best one my husband and I have stayed in. The house is amazing. We stayed in the Oceania Room, which is on the second floor with the balcony facing the ocean. It was so relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch the water, so peaceful and quiet. Vicki is an amazing cook, she totally accommodated my dietary need. I have celiac and cannot have gluten. We definitely had plenty for breakfast each morning. I would highly recommend this place!! We will be going back.
Quiet and Romantic!
We stayed at this wonderful bed and breakfast for 2 nights last week. Our kids treated us for our 40th anniversary and paid for the nights but left it up to us to decide where to go. We are so happy that we choose An Inn on the Ocean in Ocean City, MD! Our room led right to the porch which led right to the boardwalk and the ocean was just a few feet away! The breakfast served by the owners, Vicki and Charlie, were delicious! We also met some wonderful people while there that we will remain friends with forever! Treat yourself to a romantic getaway and stay at An Inn on the Ocean. You will love it!
We love this wonderful B&B on the Boardwalk
I cannot believe we didn't discover this beach treasure until 3 years ago! The Inn is on the Boardwalk at 10th Street, which is a quiet area, but not that far of a walk to where all the action is toward the inlet. Owners, Vicki and Charlie Barrett, welcome you into their gorgeous Inn where each room has its own theme and are all beautifully appointed. They serve a delicious gourmet breakfast every morning either in their dining room or on the covered porch in good weather which is a real treat. Included in the price guests are invited to use the Inn's beach towels, beach umbrellas and bicycles; and free WiFi. A refrigerator for guests' use includes an ice machine with ice cream treats in the freezer. And you'll always find some type of homemade goodie in the dining room every afternoon. Ask Vicki about their murder mystery weekends which include a delicious dinner- a lot of fun! Sit in the living room to read or relax; or enjoy the rocking chairs on the porch while watching the ocean and people strolling by. This is our "place to stay" in OC-- perfect in every way.
Yet another great time at one of our favorite B&B’s
Just finished our annual long weekend visit to Inn on the Ocean with our best friends. This place never disappoints us. The breakfasts continue to be wonderful, the innkeepers are always more like family and the breeze on the porch is so calming. Just love our yearly visits. Already booked for next year again. Highly recommend a visit to this great place !!!
July 4th wonderful weekend
I stayed at the Inn on the Ocean over July 4th weekend -- it was my first trip to Ocean City. The ambiance in the home and the personal care my family received superseded any expectations. The meals were personalized and delicious. Every detail was taken into consideration. In a place where there are thousands of visitors we were made to feel as though our well being and satisfaction were the most important. If you are planning a trip away in a quaint B&B look no further, it doesn't get any better.
30TH ANNIVERSARY
Second wonderful stay at this bb this was our 30th wedding anniversary we stayed here the year before had so much fun the inn is located right on the beach we rented the veranda room for the second time worth every penny we are night owls the room has its own entrance and patio so we can come and go as we please without disturbing anyone they make a wonderful breakfast the company is awesome meet all kinds on people all very friendly good conversation late nights talking on the large patio watching the moon shining down on the ocean sitting in the most comfortable rockers also the parking is right next to the bb wheel chair ramp if need please come and give them a try you will not be disappointed we where not !!!!!!! we will come back next year looking forward to it didn't want to leave maybe even this fall highly recommend the veranda room little more expensive than the other rooms but it is my first choice thank you again for a great week end Dawn and David A
A Wonderful Retreat
Lovely in every way
My 3 sisters and I had a lovely stay here. We rode the complimentary bikes on the boardwalk and walked to several great restaurants suggested by the Inn. Vicki cooked us a five star breakfast on Sunday morning that rivaled the Greenbrier - egg soufflé, a scrumptious mushroom, sausage ragu over a cheddar biscuit, roasted cherry tomatoes and a beautiful fruit salad! We ran into an old friend at church before breakfast and brought her back to the inn. Vicki set a place for her and served her as well! What a gracious host! Thank you, thank you.
Super location & breakfast
This old-style villa is located right by the boardwalk. If you can get the Oceana Suite, you will also have a perfect view of the ocean from your bed! Other rooms offer more partial sea views, but are still very nice. Our friendly hostess cooked up a tasty and varied breakfast that set us up nicely for the day. The house is very personally decorated, and it is easy to feel right at home. The veranda on the front of the house offers a great place for sea and people watching with a cup of coffee in hand. We expect to come back!

Just a short note to say thank you for hosting my family this past June. The birthday dinner was superb and the hors d'oeuvres were utterly fantastic. After our wonderful stay, I think you should change the name of your house to "Palace on the Ocean' or rather "Home on the Ocean". All of my family said that they really felt at home in your wonderful home filled with French provincials, old America memorabilia and unusual artifacts throughout the Palace and in all the rooms. The veranda, with all the wonderful chairs is a place to be if you are people watching. Boy the bikinis are getting smaller and smaller! Even at my age, though I am on a diet, I still like to read the menu. All of that is memorable for me, but what I enjoyed the most is my wonderful hug from a fantastic lady.
PS: Who said there is not a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, it's at 1001 Atlantic Ave. in Ocean City.
